What can I expect during the palpation exam process?
Expect to have at least 3 office visits, depending on the severity of your symptoms. The aim of the first office visit is to identify the client’s chief complaint and physical, mental/emotional or biochemical stressors. The first visit takes 60 to 90 minutes and includes a thorough structural exam, and a pre and post digestive challenge palpation exam. Both tests are non-invasive, and are done with the client fully clothed. Expect to wear non-restrictive, comfortable clothing. Most clients feel as though they have been through a short, energizing massage after the experience. The Signs & Symptoms Survey can be done prior to or during this visit, and can be accessed online via a private, confidential link. It is also available in hard copy. It is helpful for clients to bring in a thorough five day food diary of everything they eat or drink.
What happens on the second office visit?
The second office visit is the report of findings where the test results from the palpation exam, the Signs & Symptoms Survey, and the 24 Urinalysis (if done) are reviewed and recommendations are made regarding any enzyme formulas or dietary modifications. The second visit is generally 30 to 45 minutes.
How about follow-up visits?
The third visit is a follow up visit done 2 to 3 weeks after the client has begun the recommended protocol. It is generally 15 to 30 minutes. Thereafter, follow up visits can be scheduled as needed.
How much are the enzyme formulas?
The Enzyme formulas range between $23 to $58 plus tax.
